DigitalChalk: Troubleshooting System Automation Rules in DigitalChalk

This session featured Troubleshooting System Automation Rules in DigitalChalk.

Establishing System Automation Rules can serve a variety of functions: registration rules, catalog rules, notification rules, and custom report rules. They can be extremely useful –if they’re working properly.

A critical aspect of a fully functioning rule is choosing the correct Rule Seed. If you choose the wrong one, the rule either won’t work –or it could be incomplete. Can you spot the difference?

This session will help you understand why a rule may not be working the way you want it to, specifically:

●confirming whether (and how) a rule is working,

●exploring possibilities for fixing the rule if it isn’t, and

●determining if a different rule seed may be more appropriate for the intended effect.

This practical review will ensure that your rules are capturing and doing all that they should. You might also be inspired to set up new rules you hadn’t considered. If you don’t know what a Rule Seed is, this session is definitely for you!
